Zinshtein Aron Iosifovich. Painter, graphic artist. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1988). Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Modern Art (1994). Born on 13 October 1947 in Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region. In 1968 he graduated from the Ural School of Applied Arts in Nizhny Tagil. Novosibirsk Art Gallery, etc. After graduation he worked in ‘GlavLeningradStroy’, was engaged in monumental applied art. Aron Zinstein designed many printed publications. Czech fairy tales, works by Shakespeare, Dostoevsky and Bulat Okudzhava were published with his illustrations. Aron Zinstein has always remained aloof from all sorts of ‘left’ and ‘right’ movements in art. A master of gouache, as well as, dry needle, lithography, linocuts in printed matter. He was not accepted either by Soviet official art or among non-conformist artists. In art, he values spontaneity and freedom, stating, ‘I am a naive artist, I can depict everything.’ The artist's works are kept in the Literary and Memorial Museum of F.M.Dostoevsky, St. Petersburg; the Russian National Library, St. Petersburg; Khabarovsk City Museum; Nizhne-Tagil Museum of Fine Arts; Kiev Museum of Russian Art; City Museum of Bristol, UK; City Museum of Grenoble, France; City Museum of Hannover, Germany, as well as in private collections in Russia, Germany, Israel, USA, Finland, France. скрыть
