A brilliant draughtsman, he worked in various graphic techniques. In the mid-1930s he was a member of the group of graphic artists in the circle of B. Pestinsky. During the war he served on the Northern Front. Widely known received drawings of the war years, in which the authenticity of impressions combined generalised image of the war era. Died in Tashkent.
