The shepherd theme was developed by the artist throughout his creative life (‘Shepherd’, ‘Uichu’, ‘Kolkhoz flock’, ‘Shepherd's family’). The life of his characters is inseparable from the nature of Kyrgyzstan: all of it takes place in the bosom of a beautiful mountain or valley landscape. Like most artists of the older generation, Tyurin worked a lot on the open air, wrote a huge number of landscape studies. The best works of Tyurin became a contribution to the development of genre painting in Kyrgyzstan. He took part in the work of a group of artists to decorate the opera and ballet theatre in Frunze (Bishkek city). In co-authorship with G. Aitiev and V.
