Vladimir Sergeyevich Tverdokhlebov. One of founders of monumental art of Kazakhstan. Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Member of the Artists Union of the USSR and the Artists Union of Kazakhstan since 1970. Member of the Commission on awarding State Prizes in the field of literature and art since 2010. Born on 18 May 1937 in the Krasnodar region of Russia. Vladimir Sergeevich received a classical art education at one of the most prestigious art universities, Higher Art-Industrial School named after V. Mukhina in Leningrad (St. Petersburg, Russia). In the same year he came to the capital of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Government of the Republic. In 1984 he was delegated from the Artists Union of the USSR to the World Biennale of Architects and Artists in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is the author and chief artist of many significant objects in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He created many mosaics in Roman and Florentine techniques, reliefs, wall paintings, stained glass windows, posters and tapestries of hand weaving. He is the author and creator of the unique fountain ‘Eastern Calendar’, which has become one of the landmark objects of Almaty. He made complex objects - the Auezov Museum, complex artistic design of the House of Scientists, the building of the Palace of Culture of the Almaty Cotton Mill. Many of Vladimir Tverdokhlebov's paintings in oil, watercolour, tapestry, mosaic are in state and private collections in Kazakhstan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand, USA and South Korea. скрыть
