Georgy Tkachev. Painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Uzbek artist. Graduated from the Izostudiya N. V. Rozanov, Frunze, in the 1930s. In 1939 he entered the Frunze Art School, but his studies were interrupted by the Great Patriotic War. Starting from 1941, he travelled the roads of war first as a private, and then as an officer, a signalman and machine gunner, to Berlin. Worked as an editor in the ‘Combat Pencil’ of the association ‘Agitplakat’ of the Artists Union of the USSR and the Art Fund of Uzbekistan. Participant of republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions, including a large exhibition ‘Political Poster of Uzbekistan for 40 Years’ (1957), international competition of political poster ‘For Peace, Humanism, Against the Threat of Nuclear War’ (1984), to which he presented an anti-war poster ‘No Bombs!’. G. A. Tkachev's works are in museums of Uzbekistan, in the State Art Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. K. Kasteev, and in private collections. скрыть
