Tabiev Bakhtiyar Khasanovich. Honoured Art Worker of Kazakhstan, member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan (1970) and Member of the International Art Centre in Paris (1998). Tabiev Bakhtiyar Khasanovich. Honoured Art Worker of Kazakhstan, member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan (1970) and Member of the International Art Centre in Paris (1998). He was born on the 14th of May 1940 in Kulja, PRC. In 1955, the family returned to his homeland - the Soviet Union. In the same year he entered Frunze Art School. Studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (1961-1967), in the workshop of A. M. Gritsay, and also studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. M. Gritsay, as well as under professors D. D. Zhilinsky and S. N. Shilnikov. From 1967 to 1972 he taught at the Almaty Art School named after N.V.Gogol (modern Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Oral Tansykbaev). Since 1957 participated in all-Union exhibitions. In 1989 became a diploma holder of the All-Union art exhibition - competition ‘Painting-89’ (Moscow). Since 1990 member of the Presidium of the Association of Tatar cultural centres of Kazakhstan. In 1991 he was awarded a diploma of the Academy of Arts of the USSR for a series of works ‘Aral and Priaralie’. The works of B.H.Tabiev are in the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A.Kasteev, the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow, Russia), the State Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow, Russia), the State Museum of Art of Kyrgyzstan, in private collections in Australia, Bulgaria, Germany, USA, Turkey, France.
