Starkov Andrey Aleksandrovich was born in Almaty (now Almaty). Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Novosibirsk Construction Engineering Institute. Worked as an architect in design institutes in Moscow and Almaty. Holder of diplomas of the IV, V and IV International festivals of mountain and adventure films ‘Vertical’, held in Moscow, for individual exhibitions about mountain landscape. In 2001-2002 he was awarded diplomas of the Moscow Government for personal art exhibitions. Since 2022 up to the present time, Senior Lecturer of the Department of ‘Architecture’ KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev. Participant of many international national and city exhibitions. Works of the artist are kept in the funds of the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev, in private collections. The painting ‘View of Everest from the monastery of Tyangboche’ is in the collection of the famous Russian traveller Yuri Senkevich. The painting ‘Khan Tengri - Lord of Spirits’ was presented as a gift to His Highness Prince Charles of Wales in memory of his visit to Almaty in November 1996. ‘Abay Peak in the evening haze’ - this work is in the collection of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ‘Victory Peak’ - this work was awarded to the famous mountaineer Reingold Mesner at the international festival “Golden Ice Axe” in Chamonix in April 2010. скрыть
