Sokolov Ivan Yakovlevich. Uzbek artist. Painter. Born in the village of Sarabkino, Sorochinsky district, Orenburg region. From 1939-1942 he lived in Bukhara. The youth of the artist coincided with the war. In 1942 he graduated from the Kharkov Artillery School evacuated to Central Asia. He participated in the battles on the South-Western Front, was wounded - a disabled veteran of the Great Patriotic War. In 1947-1953 studied at the painting department of TTHI with V.
