Grigory Sheremetyev. Painter. Member of the Artists Union of the USSR (since 1957). Member of the World War II. Born on 2 January 1922 in the village of Sidorovka, Altai Territory. In 1956 graduated from the Almaty Art School named after N.V.Gogol (modern Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Oral Tansykbaev). Lived and worked in Semipalatinsk. Having chosen the life of Semipalatinsk Priirtyshye as the main theme of his art, Grigory Sheremetev wrote landscapes, portraits, thematic paintings with great love. Having chosen the life of Semipalatinsk Priirtyshye as the main theme of his art, Grigory Sheremetev wrote landscapes, portraits, thematic paintings with great love. The most famous works of the artist: ‘The vicinity of Semipalatinsk’ (1950s), ‘Steppes of Semipalatinsk’ (1959), a portrait of tractor driver K. Azelkhanov (1960), ‘Irtysh’ (1960), ‘Autumn motif Priirtyshye’ (1960), ‘Semipalatinsk. Zimka.’ (1960). He took an active part in exhibitions of republican and union significance. In 1989 his works were exhibited at the exhibition of artists-veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Gurzuf, in the Korovin House of Creativity. In 1974 and in 1982 there were personal, jubilee exhibitions in Almaty, in 2002 - posthumous exhibition of the artist in the Museum of Fine Arts named after Nevzorov family, timed to his anniversary. скрыть
