Lev Reznikov. Painter. Born in Minsk. In 1938 he moved with his family to Tashkent. Lev Reznikov graduated from the painting department of the Tashkent Art School, where his teachers were V. Podgursky, P. Gan, A. Goldrey. Since 1948 he has been an active participant of exhibitions held in Uzbekistan. In 1954 he was among the first students admitted to the painting department of the Theatre and Art Institute named after N. Ostrovsky. After graduation from the Institute (1960) he taught and actively painted. Since 1962 - a member of the Artists Union of the USSR. Lev Reznikov preserves the rare installation of the old school on multi-layered oil paints, in the masterful mastery of the reception reveals their flexibility and luminous qualities. ‘Lights of the big city. Late Evening’ is a conventional designation of the works written in the centre of Tashkent, where Sayilgoh Street is located now. The impressionistic freshness of the complex multi-figure motif makes the paintings of Lev Reznikov stand apart. Lev Reznikov is buried in Tashkent. Lev Reznikov's works are represented in the collections of the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Oriental Art, museum collections in Israel, and private collections. скрыть
