Nikolai Pudovkin. Painter, master of socialist realism. Uzbek and Kazakh artist. Born in the village of Tatishchevo, Orenburg region. From 1940 to 1960 he lived in Uzbekistan, then in Kazakhstan. In 1947 graduated from the Tashkent Art School named after P. P. Benkov. Member of the Artists Union of the USSR since 1961. Participant of republican and all-Union art exhibitions. Honoured Artist of the Kazakh SSR. Works are kept in museums of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, in the collection of the National Bank of Uzbekistan, in private collections.
