Mark Porunin. Soviet and Kazakh artist. Member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan (1961). Honoured Art Worker of Kazakhstan (1989). Born on 17 January 1933 in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. Attended art studios from 9 years old, studied from the repressed artist M.K.Sokolov (who later received deserved recognition), and then at B.A.Belozerov. He studied at a craftsman's school, where his artistic abilities were noticed, and was sent to Leningrad to study at the art school at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the class of Professor Yuri Neprintsev.... далее

He studied at a craftsman's school, where his artistic abilities were noticed, and was sent to Leningrad to study at the art school at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the class of Professor Yuri Neprintsev. In 1961, a graduate of the Academy came to Tselinograd and organised a branch of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan. He participated in all city, regional and republican exhibitions. However for 34 years of stay in Kazakhstan was honoured only two personal exhibitions - in Tselinograd and Pavlodar. In 1964 at the First regional art exhibition was subjected to criticism from the Party. In the years of Reconstruction, the official attitude to M.N. Porunin changed. 24 July 1989 by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Kaz SSR he was awarded the title ‘Honoured Art Worker of the KazSSR’. In 1995 the artist returned to Russia. The author's works are in the personal collections of the Shafer family (Kazakhstan) and I. Sheina (Israel), as well as in the art museums of Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar. скрыть
