Perov Alexander Petrovich - Uzbek artist, painter. Member of the Artists Union of the USSR (1967). In 1997 member of the Creative Association of Artists at the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2002 he was awarded the title ‘People's Artist of Uzbekistan’. Benkov (1950-1955) and at the painting department of the Tashkent Theatre and Art Institute named after A. Ostrovsky (1959-1965) under Rakhim Akhmedov and Alexander Krivonos. Served in the Black Sea Navy (1956-1959). Taught at the P. Benkov Russian Art University (1958-1969), A. Ostrovsky Technical Art Institute (1969-1974) and the Republican Art School (1974-1995). Traineeship at the Leningrad Academy of Arts (1973) in the workshop of E. Moiseenko. The format of A. Perov's work is very large: he does not limit himself to chamber subjects or any particular genre. He successfully works in absolutely all genres. His handwriting can be recognised without a caption to the picture.
