Boris Penkin. Kazakhstani sculptor. He was a teacher at the Almaty Art School. In 1929 his family settled on the territory of the commune of F. E. Dzerzhinsky, and as a child, Boris was fond of modelling. So, from the age of 7 to 16, Boris' childhood was spent side by side with the communards.
