Alexander Patrashkin. Honoured Art Worker of the UzSSR (1967). Theatre artist and graphic artist. Born in Syzran. Graduated from Kazan Art School (1915). Lived and worked in Uzbekistan. In the twenties worked in the field of poster and magazine satirical graphics together with such artists as L. Bure, V. Solodov, B. Lavrenev, V. Rozhdestvensky, M. Kurzin, Usto-Mumin, S. Malt. The posters of the twenties were characterised by visibility, narrative and instructional nature of the images. Under the influence of samples from artistic centres, compositional solutions, which are chaotic clusters of geometric figures, mysterious in content, penetrated the Uzbek poster. Such schemes appeared in the posters of I. Tull and A. Patrashkin. He was a teacher at the Samarkand Art School (1935-1940), chief artist of the Samarkand Young Spectator Theatre (1941-1945), the Samarkand Russian Drama Theatre (1948-1954), the Uzbek State Musical Drama Theatre named after Kh. Alimdzhan (1955-1968). Alexander Timofeevich also taught at the Art-Industrial Combine in Samarkand. скрыть
