Pak Boris Petrovich. Kazakh artist, sculptor, graphic artist. Member of the Artists Union of the USSR (1968). Honoured Art Worker of the Kazakh SSR (1989). Born on 4 April 1935 in the village of In-Koreyskoye, Jewish Autonomous Region, Smidovich district. He received the Diploma of the second degree at the All-Union exhibition for the illustration of the book of G. H. Andersen ‘Fairy Tales’ (1985). In 1958 he graduated from the geological-geographical faculty of the Kazakh State University. In 1966 he graduated from the graphic department of the Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (St Petersburg). In 1977 he graduated from the Almaty Art School named after N.V.Gogol (modern Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Oral Tansykbaev) and after he taught at the same academy. He was engaged in book and easel graphics, worked in the technique of linocut. Collaborated with the publishing house ‘Lenizdat’; author of social and political posters ‘Working Conscience - the best controller’, 1961. Actively participated in all-Union, international and republican exhibitions. Works are kept in the Museum of Arts of the Peoples of the East in Moscow, the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev, in private collections in Russia and abroad, in USA, Korea, Germany. скрыть
