In 1948 she graduated from the art school named after N.V.Gogol (modern Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Oral Tansykbaev) in Almaty. In 1961 V. P. Kuznetsova became a member of the Artists Union of the USSR. It was a period of exceptionally active and fruitful creative work. In 1961-1962 Vilenina Kuznetsova worked as director of travelling art exhibitions. Familiarised with the art of Kazakh artists residents of Dzhambul, Shymkent, Kentau, Pakhta-Aral. Here she had an opportunity to evaluate the importance of thematic paintings and the conditions of displaying works outside museums. This undoubtedly influenced her further creative work, in any case, the choice of the size of the works. In 1962, a series of works executed in gouache on cardboard - ‘Animal Husbandry of Kazakhstan’ - was published. An important milestone in the work of the artist was a series of paintings made with gouache on cardboard, ‘Weekdays of border guards’. Each of the works in this series carries a high emotional charge. For creativity V.P. Kuznetsova is characterised by a sharpened social perception of reality and a high appreciation of the fruits of collective labour of contemporaries. This peculiarity of personal position determined for many years her choice of objects of image and subjects, helped to create impressive pictures of the achievements of socialism and progress. No significant thematic exhibition was without Vilenina Pavlovna's works. And from this it follows that her works were seen by tens of thousands of people, and the slogan ‘Art belongs to the people’ was true for their fate. Beautiful landscape studies - a memory of visiting many places on Earth. Still lifes by V. Kuznetsova played a significant role in the development of this genre in Kazakhstan. Her colourful still lifes contain a rich and complex palette of moods. Still lifes are mostly flowers, which she never tired of admiring again and again, discovering their unique and fragile beauty. For each of her paintings she found a certain rhythm, colour and compositional structure, combining self-discipline and sensitivity to the various shades of beauty. скрыть
