Makum Mustakhovich Kisamedinov. Born on 10 February 1939 in the village of Voskresenskoye, Volgograd region. Makum Kisamedinov graduated from the N.V.Gogol Almaty Art School (modern Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Oral Tansykbaev), and in 1967 from the Surikov Moscow Art Institute, then returned to Kazakhstan. Kisamedinov is a Kazakhstani graphic artist, member of the USSR Union of Artists, and winner of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the KazSSR. Makum Kisamedinov belongs to the group of ‘sixties’ - artists who worked in the late 60s and early 70s of the last century. The first creative works of Kisamedinov were the design and illustration of the anniversary edition of Abai Kunanbaev's poems in 2 volumes, books by Sabit Mukanov, as well as books by Gabit Musrepov, published in the publishing houses ‘Zhazushy’ and ‘Zhalin’. Makum Kisamedinov performed his works in the technique of linocut, as well as in the technique of woodcut, autolithography and etching. The works of the artist have been exhibited since 1961. During his lifetime the artist had several exhibitions in Moscow - in 1976 and 1979, as well as many exhibitions in Kazakhstan. Makum Kisamedinov has been a member of the Artists Union of the USSR since 1967. For the cycle of graphic works dedicated to Makhambet Utemisov, Makum Kisamedinov was awarded the title of the Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Kazakh SSR 1971-1972 in the field of literature and art. He is also a diploma holder of many all-Union contests, a member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan. A series of graphic works of the artist, dedicated to Goethe's ‘Faust’, was awarded the highest prize at the international competition in Leipzig. The artist living in XX century M. Kisamedinov deeply and penetratingly addressed to the history of native people, exalting the image of hero Makhambet in his art work. He performed his graphic sheet capaciously and wholesomely, organising a clear composition (in a square), emphasising masculinity and strength in the hero. Makhambet was an ideal and inspirer of the masses. And the author managed to convey his ‘music’ - zhyrau with romantic rebellious spirit. The works of the artist are exibited in the A. Kasteev State Museum of Arts, the Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Sport. Exhibitions of the artist's works are held after his death. скрыть
