Viktor Kholuev. Painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts since 1965. Born on 3 July 1930 in the village of ‘Ostry Kamen’, Lipetsk region, in a peasant family. In 1945 he finished eight grades of secondary school at the station ‘Lev Tolstoy’ (former Astapovo) of the Moscow-Donbass railway. In 1945 he finished eight grades of secondary school at the station ‘Lev Tolstoy’ (former Astapovo) of the Moscow-Donbass railway. From 1945 to 1948 he studied at the Ryazan Art School, from the third year he left for service in the Soviet Army. After the service he finished his studies at the Russian Art School and in 1955 entered the painting faculty of the Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the workshop of the National Artist of the USSR Y. Neprintsev. The young artist was noted for his fine sense of colour, juicy, generous writing and a predilection for genre composition. The artist was attracted by first-target workers, ordinary workers, people and their fates. Since 1961 he lived and worked in Tselinograd (in the following years Akmola - Astana). From 1984 to 1991 was the chairman of the Tselinograd organisation of the Artists Union.The paintings are kept in the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A. Kasteev in Almaty, in the directorate of art exhibitions of Kazakhstan, in the mentioned private collections of Kazakhstan, England, Germany, Turkey, Russia, USA and other countries. скрыть
