Andrei Ivershin. Painter. Member of the Artists Union of Russia. Born on 1 July 1975 in Almaty. Graduated from Kemerovo regional art school and the Russian State Professional and Pedagogical University. Winner of regional competitions among teachers of educational institutions in cultural sphere. Has certificates of honour from the Kemerovo City Administration, Department of Culture and National Policy of the Kemerovo Region Administration. In 2003 at the invitation of the Akimat of Almaty city, held a personal exhibition ‘Almaty in my heart’ in the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A. Kasteev. The exhibition was timed to the Year of Kazakhstan in Russia and the Day of Almaty. At the exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Almaty, Andrei Ivershin donated the painting ‘Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmet Yassaui’ to the fund of the A. Kasteev State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
