Golubovich Vasily. Soviet theatre artist, Honoured Art Worker of the Kazakh SSR (1954). Born on 10 January 1910 in Kokhanovo (now Tolochinsky district, Vitebsk region, Belarus). Grew up in Yekaterinoslav (now Dnieper) in Ukraine. Here he received secondary education. Here he also attended the drama studio at the railway station Dievka (a suburb of Yekaterinoslav, now part of Dnieper). In 1927 he entered and in 1932 graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute.
