Goldrei Aizik Aronovich. Born in 1907 in Grodno, Belarus. Studied at the All-Russian Academy of Arts from 1932 to 1938 with I.I. Brodsky. From 1946 worked at the Republican Art School at the department of painting and pedagogy. By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet he was awarded a medal ‘For Valorous Labour in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945’ and a Certificate of Honour from the Academy of Arts.
