Since 2004 Maxim Fayustov has been working at the Creative Workshop of Painting of the Russian Academy of Arts under the direction of the National Artists of the USSR, Academicians A. P. and S. P. Tkachevs. Since 2009 Fayustov is a member of the Union of Russian Artists. Since the early 2000s the artist has been active in exhibition activities. His paintings are exhibited at the most important venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg, such as the Russian State Library, Central House of Artists, Moscow City Hall, Manezh and others. The artist has been awarded the Diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Gold Medal of the Russian Union of Artists, the Shuvalov Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. The artist prefers monumental realistic painting and often turns to historical themes.
