Dukhanin Alexander Ivanovich. Honoured Culture Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born in 1924 in the village of Ivanovka, Kant district, Chui province. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1951 he graduated from the Odessa Art School. In 1951 he came to Frunze Art School as head of the teaching department, then (since 1961), and until the end of his days, was engaged in teaching work, giving all his talent as an artist and teacher. The basis of the creative method of this artist - work on the sketch, work from nature. He worked in subject-thematic painting and landscape. The basis of his creative method was work life drawing. He was awarded the Order of Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, medals ‘For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945’, ‘For Valorous Labour’, Diplomas of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, the sign ‘Excellent Worker of National Education of the Kyrgyz SSR’.
