Elena Otroshchenko graduated from the T.G.Shevchenko Art School in Kiev and the Faculty of Artistic Design of Fabrics of the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School (former Stroganov College) in 1967. Since 1963 participates in youth, city, republican, interregional, international exhibitions. Member of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan and the USSR since 1969. In her childhood she was attracted by everything connected with the life of wild nature. As a teenager she travelled to the Far East, was fond of astronomy and biology. After graduating from Stroganov in 1967, she and her husband Arsen Beisembinov came to Almaty, where he began working as an animator at the Kazakhfilm studio, and she worked in the publishing houses ‘Zhazushy’ and ‘Zhalyn’, designing books. Then Elena Beisembinova came to ‘Kazakhfilm’ as an artist-director of cartoons. Elena Beisembinova's talent is multifaceted. She is a famous illustrator of books, has issued a series of lithographs, was engaged in tapestries. Her painting is recognisable, distinguished by exquisite silver colouring. She designed 32 books of children's and fiction literature. Author of a large number of articles about her work in magazines and newspapers. The artist-director of 10 animated films. Works of the artist are exibited in museums of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and are a part of personal collections in CIS, England, Australia, India, Hungary, Czech Republic, Sweden, Indonesia, France, USA, South Korea, Israel and Turkey. She was awarded a bronze medal of the All-Union Exhibition of Economic Achievements (1967). Son - artist Zangar Arsenovich Beisimbinov. In the 90s the artist emigrated to Canada, where her son lived. At the present time lives and works in Almaty. Elena Sergeevna is retired but continues her creative activity. скрыть
