In 2014, the work of the artist was included in the catalogue 5 -volume of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan. In 2016, the channel ‘Kazakh TV’ made a documentary film about the artist Kurmangazy Akashev, the programme ‘Living Images’. In 2020 the newspaper ‘Egemen Kazakhstan’ published an article about Kurmangazy Akashev's painting ‘Ol zhasaghan tarikh’. In 2021 on the TV channel ‘ABAI TV’ made a documentary film about the artist, the programme ‘Bir tuyndy’. Throughout his life Kurmangazy Akashev did not miss any important exhibition.
